Get Some Fresh Air
Can you feel it? Spring is almost here and we’re all just itching to get outside to soak up the first sunny and warm days of the year. Spring is such a refreshing time of year. It means the cold of winter is just about over, we can all go outside without wearing multiple layers, and everything seems as though it’s waking up again. In case if you need more motivation than that, check out these ideas for coming out of winter hibernation!
Getting some fresh air can be as easy as taking a walk at lunch. Grab a quick bite and go for a walk outside instead of sitting in the break room scrolling through your phone. The jolt in activity will boost your mood as well as your energy levels to get you through the rest of the afternoon.
Take your workout routine outside. Instead of completing that squat and lunge routine in your living room, bring it to your driveway or yard. Sure, your neighbors might think you’re crazy, or they might think you’re brilliant and join you!
Find a local trail. Walking in a forest, along a beach, or next to a river is incredibly soothing, invigorating, and therapeutic. Experiencing the world like this helps to ease your mind and allows you to see the bigger picture. This broaden perspective helps your mental health and wellbeing, which is equally as important as your physical health.
Getting outside to soak up the sun (with sunscreen of course!) and fresh air brings about plenty of benefits. With the obvious extra Vitamin D, the influx of oxygen soothes your nerves, helps improve your blood pressure, gives you natural energy, can increase happiness, and improves your overall wellbeing. So the next chance you get, go outside and take a deep breath of fresh air!
