Sunscreen
With the warm weather and sunshine here, we’re finally getting outside more! Now’s the time to remember to lather up (or spray on) the sunscreen, because after spending most of the winter inside, our skin is going to be extra sensitive to the sun.
Sunscreen protects skin from the harmful effects of the sun’s UV (Ultraviolet) rays. While a certain amount of time in the sun is beneficial as it helps our bodies produce Vitamin D, skin shouldn’t be exposed for very long without SPF protection. SPF protects against UVA/UVB rays, can lower the risk of skin cancer, and can prevent sunburn, blistering, and premature signs of aging. Choose sunscreens with SPF30 or above, and make sure to reapply as directed to fully get the benefits.
There are so many options of sunscreen to choose from. Do you prefer cream, stick, or spray? How about matte, tinted, natural, acne-reducing, waterproof, and weightless formulas? Sunscreen companies have given us so many choices, there’s no excuse not to wear it!
